Faces of Favour: India Grimstad

This week on #FacesofFavour, we sat down with friend of Favour, India Grimstad, who has recently been using Favour to help her stay focused throughout a full day of Zoom classes (and essay writing) at home. Check out the full Q+A below!

Q: Tell us who you are, where you’re from, and what you do.

A: I'm India, from NYC, and heading into my Senior Year at NYU.

Q: How would your friends describe you?

A: My friends would describe me as fun and independent!

Q: What does self-care look like to you?

A: I am very regimented with my vitamins and skin care routines. Abiding by these routines, I would say, is my most affective means of self-care: taking my vitamins, layering skin products, etc. benefit me mentally and physically, but scheduling/setting aside time to accomplish these beneficial things also creates a time and space for efficient downtime and self-awareness in a busy day.

Q: How have you integrated Favour into your everyday routine, and  when do you use Favour?

A: In a normal day, I chew one piece of Favour in the late-afternoon or early evening. Favour successfully eases anxieties, though can make me very physically lazy if I take it too early in the day. While I am not typically a gum-chewer, the unique texture and refreshing flavor of Favour is oddly enticing and satisfying on its own.

Q: What are some of your at-home wellness tips right now?

A: I have a healthy addiction to the Rehab Shot from Juice Press, but since I am currently living outside of NYC I have created my own at-home "rehab shot" that I now take daily, and actually prefer to the Juice Press version. I combine ACV, Cayenne, Turmeric, fresh shaved ginger, and lemon juice with room temperature water (easier to quickly get down than with cold water). I will sometimes add a bit of honey if my weak taste buds can't handle the spice of cayenne.

Q: What’s your current favorite song?

A: The answer to this is always Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" but Quarantine has been a weird time for my music taste, and I currently have a re-surfaced appreciation for 2010-era Fun.

Q: How do you do yourself a Favour?

A: Taking a moment to enjoy and appreciate reality. Also, I just discovered Pinterest, which has been a great creative outlet for me, especially during this time.
